The thing is, if they stick with the angel eye rings, the look that is put forward does not create a wow effect to others. We BMW fans will accept the round circular angel eyes as awesome, but to others they would seem normal or boring. LED daytime running lights and park light design has become much more adventurous over the past few years, and it its becoming one of the key elements in the front end design of a vehicle, as it creates a level of dramatism. The ones which have created the right effect are the ones on the Audi A4, A5, A6, A7, Jag XF, F30, New 6, Kia products, which are fully incorporated into the design of the headlight.
Others like Merc with the daytime running lights have adopted a bit more conservative approach as their designs are like those are just placed on the front fascia as straight lines on the car but look like add ons or afterthoughts.
I think the are correct in reinterpreting the angel eye design, as it is an are in which designers can be a bit more adventurous to create aggressiveness at the front.

Are they copying Audi with the front park lights - just stay with the Angel eyes
