BMW 320i 2007

Hi Beemer fanatics

As I'm sure you can see, I'm new to the forums. I'm thinking of buying a BMW E90 320i 2007 model, with 95000km on the clock, for R133 900. Full Service History, virtually in a perfect condition on the outside, just a little scratch on the back bumper. And the black leather interior is still in perfect condition. l also checked the VIN number with BMW, and they said everything looks good.

According to me that's a good price, just want to get the expert's insights on it, do you think it's a good price?

Also, whats the maintenance on these babies? What does the services cost approx.? Anything in particular that's going to need replacing at a certain service in the near future (so that I know what to save up for)?

Thank you so much in advance

Kind Regards,
Jaco

The 320i is a fantastic all-rounder, is very affordable to run and has great features.

However, why not try get a 320D? Better performance, often better specced and amazing economy.

Sure you can find one at that price? They are great value for money IMHO.

Thanks for all the quick replies. Yes I know. But for the same price, it has a lot more mileage on it than the one I'm looking at. And doesn't the 320D have a bit more expensive maintenance on it? I mean its got the turbo, and a diesel's services and maintenance overall is more expensive, if I'm not mistaken?

I love the 320D as well, but I just don't think I'll be able to afford its maintenance. And for the same price, it has 110 000+ km on it...:fencelook:

Thanks for your reply. That's very good to hear :praise: Well I'm driving a Hyundai Atos 1.1 ATM :argh: So it will definitely feel a lot faster anyways

And I just want the car for the comfort, safety and the beauty of the car :inlove:

And yes, it's going to be my first beemer...I've been in love with BMW's all my life, so I'm excited to get my first one

As I said, it is a fantastic all-rounder and a huge step up particularly in your case from the Hyundai.

You will love it.

I'm sure I will want to, but atm I can't afford anything with a bigger engine. And thanks for the link, your car looks amazing :inlove: But it's a little out of my price range unfortunately. But it is a good price though

Look guys, I don't want to get into a fistfight here, but I'm so gatvol of "Forumdyslexia" :nonono::nonono:

The guy WANTS to buy a 320, so give him advice on BUYING a 320. Enough with this "dont buy a 320" "dont waste money on tuning your 323, rather buy a 335" bullsh!t.

The guy needs advice, which is why he's here. Dont mess his mind around :=):

Go for it bud... I like that you're sticking to what you can afford.

The 320i is a fine vehicle. There'll be a material jump in fuel cost from the Atos to the BMW, but nothing that will kill you. Also, the maintenance on a "high mileage" vehicle will be more predictable and affordable in petrol form than Diesel, In my opinion.

You are gonna love it!! Send us picks when u get her!

Cool thanks, I wasn't trying to punt my car by the way, the links in my signature so it appears on all my posts. I know you will be happy in any BMW, like the wise old oracle NIKE says "Just Do it".

the problem is most people think of getting a 320i because they cheap to run... this is just not true i dont see any point in getting a bmw with less than 2.5l... just get the biggest engine you can afford...

the only thing you have to watch out for is insurance cost and depreciation might be bad depending on what car you go for...

Hey Bro, I have a 2010 320i. It was also a step up for me from a Ford Fiesta 1.4i. Many people on this forum always complain that the 320i doesn't have enough power etc etc.... but to be honest, for the money you paying for the car, you're getting something very reliable at a good price. Its comfortable and solid.

I plan on keeping mine for a very long time. I think R133k is a decent price. Just maintain the car and it will be fine. The only thing that's a bit pricey are the tyres. The runflats are not cheap. I have the 17's which cost about R2200 each... I'm busy phoning around for quotes hoping I can get something under R2000.

Hope this helps. Let me know if you want more info.

Thanks so much! Really is good to hear the positive comments :ty:
And yeah, I mean 0-100km/h in 9s is still almost half the time my Atos takes to get there :roflol:

Just one thing, is there any particular expensive services that's close to the 100 000km mark?

Thanks in advance!

I'm not sure about the services close to the 100k mark.... seeing that the car has 95000km, that means you have 5000km till motorplan expires right? Why don't you take the car to BMW and have them check it out and have them replace whatever may 'break' post 100 000km mark?

Reason I say this is that I see that other fanatics here get this done before motorplan expires....

So can any other fanatics confirm this for me?
