Hi guys, I'm new

my wife is on her 3rd bmw she first had the 2004 320i, then the 2006 320d now the 2010 320d. something strange happened yesterday, we cam back home from lunch - from springs to boksburg, i stopped the car, opened the garage and climbed back into the car to put it away in the garage. on pressing the start/stop button, the motor just turned and turned and turned and eventually just stopped - without starting??? this is the first time we have experienced this with the bmw...i tried again and it did the same thing....so i left it for a while 5 mins, i tried again - same story...then we left it for at least 15 min, then my wife tried - boom and it started first time!!! is this a fuel pump issue??? the car is brand new 3500km on the clock

Its def fuel related.

If the car was cold it could be glowplugs, but since it was warm, either

1. Dirty diesel
2. Blcoked Injector
3. More then likely fuel pump.

Good luck man, keep us updated.

the car has been fine since, might have been the key (i read this somewhere) but the central locking has now packed up - this has happened on every bmw my wife has had since the e46....seems to be a general problem with them....problem is i dont think it is a fuse - because it costs about R15000 to fix - luckily its still under motor plan - bmw 's problem
