Exclusive, Sport Pack, Individual, Base are basically "kits" that BMWs come in.

These are generally cosmetic add ons i.e. bumpers, rims, and interior trim options, though some come a few extras like sport suspension.

Each of these options come with different rim and tyre setups (16", 17", 18") interior setups (wood grain, carbon fibre, leather seats, sport seats, electric seats, centre arm rest, sun roof, etc).

you can add to a spec though. e.g if an exclusive pack comes with 16" wheels, you can ask for the 17" wheels if you like at an additional cost.

it usually depends on the spec youre looking for. If you like a sportier look and feel, go for the sportpack or individual (once again, there is a difference between the two options), or it you like an executive look and feel go for the exclusive.

the drivetrain, power and suspension are usually not affected by these setups, though there are certain "Packs" that have a modified suspension (factory lowered, tightened dampers).

its up to you. you also go with the basic ("start" in e90 terms that come with the standard wheels, and the usual basics - leather, aircon, power steering, abs, dsc).

If youre buying a car under factory warranty, they pay for all mechanical and electrical components (usually with no cost limits). if youre buying a car with an aftermarket warranty, they pay for certain mechanical and electrical components (usually WITH cost limits, based on age and mileage of vehicle).

hope this helps.

SA760 Individual high-gloss, Satin Chrome

Motorplan is your friend, it pays for everything except fuel, tyres and paint (cosmetic damage) AFAIK.

I can vouch for the fact that the 320d is as light as they say and offers excellent torque at low revs. You have to test drive one to know what I mean. Consumption can go as low as 4.8l/100kms. thats crazy consumptions.

There arnt any real common faults. older models used to have turbo problems but from the e46 LCI they have been redesigned and are 100 percent.

Get a diesel, you wont regret it.

PS: the sportspack comes with 17inch wheels which offer a stiffer harder ride than the 16 inch tyres on the exclusive package.

Honestly with both exclusive and Motorsport kits in our garage, I would say you wont go wrong with the M Package. I got the e46 in exclusive and it may be a mind thing but the exclusive ages faster than the M kit in my opinion and the M still looks so hot after 5-8+ years! Likewise with the E90. Every car we order from now will be M Package, sacrifice a tiny bit of comfort for an oh so sexy car

I have a 2008 320d msport and love it!
think twice about the msport suspension if curbs, speedbumps are a daily issue, and forget about going on a sand road, its just wrong

Morning

I bought a '05 320i e90 sports pack a week ago, but had a concern weather it is really a sports pack or not, how would I confirm this?, All the sports pack's i've seen has a different front and rear bumper???.

Hi bud,

In your model in 2005, the between the exclusive and m-sport was a Sport Pack. It consisted of the 17 inch rim with sports suspension and in some cases also a sports ssteering wheel also.

Cool!
