Bmw 318ti fuel pump problem

Hi guys I'm having a problem with the fuel pump on my ride. I noticed that it doesnt turn on. I'm thinking of changing the pump as the car is doing about 168000km on the original one. But what seems to be odd is that when i test the voltage going to the pump it reflects 4.95v...... I would think thats abit less. So before I spend a small fortune on a new pump please can someone advise if the voltage im getting is normal. I've checked the fuel pump fuse and thats fine.

I assume that your car can not be driven, I aslo assume that you know that the problem is the fuel pump as you say "is doesn't turn on " therfore it is the fuel pump ! I wouldn't buy from the agents if I were you, aftermarket !

If you are unsure what the problem is rather list what it's doing and we can take it from there.

hi guys can a 118i 2008 model fuel pump be used on a 318ti? will it change anything? can the faulty fuel pump cause the EML light to switch on?
