Clean car. well done. Now you just need to fit some foglights there. Kinda finishes it off nicely.

Foglight fitment is a piece of cake. Easy DIY. PM me if you need some tips.

No problem :)
Next time when you copy the link from photobucket, use the IMG one, then it displays in the post :)

BTW nice car :), I agree some fogs will do well, and some E46 BiXenons & LED Park Lights

Leon, you will need the following:

2 x Foglights
2 x Foglight brackets
1 x Dash switch
1 x Relay

Foglight brackets are R50,00 each second hand. Dash switch is R 150,00 second hand, and the relay around R75,00 second hand.

I couldn't get a price on the foglights, as they don't have stock, but you can also try Racing Edge in Parow for this.

The car is pre-wired for foglights, so you don't need to run a single wire. It is all just plug and play.

Thanks Jandre
The relay and switch is the hardest to get!
I struggled 6 months to get one for my e30
But i think there are more E36 parts available
Like the plug and play idea
It's on my weekend to do list!

I got a silly question:hammerhead:
I know the 318IS has a timechain,and not a belt
Does this ever need changing of any sort of maintenance? :dunno:

I changed the timing chain on my car on 162 000km. Easy way of knowing, on idle you will hear a rattling noise coming from the engine. Up the revs a little and the noise goes away. If so, it's time for a timing chain. While you're at it, get them to replace the pulley as well. Mine cost me around R3 500.00

on my E30 318i M10 Engine I replaced the timing chain & pulley at 350 000Km and AFAIK that was the first time it got done.
The chain cost a whole sum of R25 and the pulley was a few hundred - got my parts at cost from the Mechanics as I knew them and helped with the work as well
