BMW 30s or 30l question ?

Hi all

I was wondering if anyone has either a 30s or 30l ? I remember my Dad having one but i do not know too much about them. Wher they a 5 or 3 series, what engine options etc. Iirc the SA versions were called the 30L and the Zim versions were 30S but could way off the mark here.

Don't know much about them but I think they developed from the E9- solid cars

They were actually labelled as the e3 and the only difference was the wheelbase. L was the long wheelbase and the S was supposed to be "Sport". It was much larger than the 2002, so i suppose they would have been the "7 series" of that time. All of them had M30 engines
