BMW 1M stolen without keys in 3 minutes! This is a video of a £43,000 BMW 1M Stolen at 3am in 3 minutes. The thieves accomplished this by accessing the BMW OBD port in the footwell by breaking the glass, reaching in and using a device to reprogram a blank key fob. The car was simply then unlocked and pushed off the drive and driven away.

BMW doesn't seem to want to admit they have a problem, even though over 300 cars have been stolen in March 2012 in a single UK county.

As above it is not only a BMW problem. It is worrying however and the guy did not have a tracker fitted so very unlikely that the car will ever be seen again. It's advisable that people fit steering locks to their cars as more of a deterrent to prevent stuff like this happening.

Do you know what the funny part of all this is, they are just teenagers stealing cars for joy rides. The law in the UK protects minors. So they not scared.
Sorry to say this, I saw this kind of stuff happen and nothing you can do.

Well this has been happening in SA already for a while they call it "Gone in 60sec..."

What they do is when you press your keyfob to lock your car they will interfere with the frequency by using their own remote which will make your car seem as if its locked my making the regular noises but the doors will still be unlocked(They call this VIMBA which means stop).

Then they gain access to your car without any hassles or breaking anything. Once they are in they use a blank copy of your car keys and plug the device where the Diag. gets plugged to reprogram your computer box then their key would work with your car. SIMPLE

This device works on all cars because @ sum point you will lose your keys and require a new set to be programmed so all the major dealership have this device.

We had a Hilux stolen from our neighbours across the road, and had 3 seperate CCTV camera's on our outside wall and we watched these guys work.

Precision was insane...
