BMW 1M at Edwin Swales

Going back to the topic, that 1 M on Swales looks wicked, the price:thumbdo:

My opinion the M135i looks fuggly compared to the 1M however it makes up with the power and gear box:thumbs:

Theres a you tube video showing the 1M vs M135i, that M135i really opened the 1M from the line.

The guys at Supertech should check that video and maybe adjust the price:roflol:

I agree that the M135i can go fast in a straight line. The 1M is far better at handling. On most small tracks the 1m beats it by a 3 or 4 seconds which is a huge difference.

Ugly car, along with all the other 1 series!

Jealousy... :fencelook:

And yes, the price is crazy! :nono:

Not jealous just diff taste. I never liked the 1 series when it cameout and still dont. Prefer my 335i Coupe. The 1 series looks boxy and awkward to me. You can dress it up like the 1M as much as you like I still think its hideous.Normally its a kid with a baseball cap driving it which puts me off even more.

I suppose every one has their own taste,my 1series make my feel like i'm driving one of the old box BMWs. Small enough for it to be fun enough to throw around. But now the same can be said about the 335 Coupe, no matter how much you dress it up, it will also never look as good as a M3!

Thank goodness for that. The M3 is bloody ugly IMO. Its similar to a 335I COUPE with vents in the bonnet and wider arches - VOMIT. The 335I COUPE is sleek and understated. Its the only BMW I would ever own thats in my price offering. The new 4 series really excites me and the the 6 series is just to die for

Cant fault the performance of the 1M though..thats reason enough to buy one I guess, than again Id rather just run software in a 335I coupe. The payoff with the 1m is the exclusivity. If thats important to you than break the bank.

Lol, you must be the only one in the world that refers to the E92 M3 as ugly.

I saw a white one again yesterday parked outside my barber while I was getting my haircut. Tried to convince myself it was nice looking..but couldnt. I think the M4 will be cracking though.:joy:

Just doesn't give me that wow factor..its a big fatty with an ugly bulge in the bonnet and the stock rims just dont do the car any justice. The back end isnt so bad but dont like the side and front profiles.Seems Im only one that feels that way so Ill shuttup now.

Sheit, I did not realise these idiots were still asking such crazy prices for the 1M.... it is an amazing machine and worth it’s true retail, but these inflated retail prices should not be entertained by the consumers.

Seems like you simply dont like agressive looking cars. Nothing wrong with that.... its your taste. But dont say HATE.... you will piss alot of people off. Much respect... drive safe.

Say what you want about the 1M, but as an owner with an original allocation I can tell you now that that car on another level. A 335i is just that, a 335i. I could have bought one if I really wanted to but chose to spend my money on the proper emotional and financial investment (not that I care about the latter part) that is the BMW E82 M Coupe.

Different strokes for different folk I guess...
No regret here

The reason for the high prices of the 1M is due to the limited allocation of units. Its a demand and supply effect, low supply + high demand will shoot prices up.........

The sellers will think they can command their price due to the limited supply locally. To certain degree they can, as its the same with limited edition vehicles like the 333i which was made in limited numbers, they know somewhere there is a Bmw collector that will pay to have one.

Judging by the comments made the guys on the forum even the 1M owners feel that the cars on for resale are priced obsencely, I also agree at this stage it is too early to ask those prices as they are being sold to make a quick R50K-R150K.

Regarding the debate about 1Ser coupe, I think it is an awesome little car, there nothing wrong with it, I'm driving an E92 currently and always look at it. The car is deliberately styled chunky and boxy to bring back a bit of nostalgia to BMW owners who loved the original box E30 and shark designed BMWs............. If I could relate the E92 would be a greyhound (sleek and areodynamic) and the 1Coupe a pitbull (muscular and punchy)

Both are awesome cars..............

Very well said.

I would never pay more than list for a 1M! :nono: These prices are crazy. I've heard of a 1M owner that wants to trade his for R650k with almost no options and it has close to 30k km on the clock. :nonono:

The 1M is most certainly the equivalent of the E30M3 in as much as it is in a class of its own in terms of the emotion it evokes.

Although not particularly attracted to it I recognise the niche it has been designed to fill and BMW have executed the 1m in the spirit of the M3(e30).

I think they are superb machines that ooooooze mucho.
