Hey guys

I am looking to maybe get a 135i. But I don't know a lot about the car like, What comes standard with the car what extras should I look for. What is the weak points on the car that I should look out for?

Also final question is the bumper in the picture aftermarket or a standard one?

These 135i's are beautiful cars, you will not regret it
Extras:M Sport, sun roof an xenon are a personal must, harmon kardon sound is also nice to have
I stand to be corrected on the pic,it looks like the Bmw performance bumper,it is not standard, not sure if there are replicas available but as far as I know, its an original bmw product
DCT-Dual clutch-7 speed,has launch control:rollsmile:
Auto-6 speed
From my knowledge, the dct is only available with the N55 motor

+1 ^^

The N55 is the current engine in x35's. The difference between the N54 and N55 is that the N54 is the twin turbo engine and the N55 is the twin scroll single turbo engine. Power output is the same. The 135i n55 came dct and the E92 335i N54 also came dct. The Dct gearbox is way quicker than the auto and as above, the dct gearbox has launch control.

Good luck with the search bud!

Thanx guys

So the DCT box was not available on the 2008 models they all are still Auto? How does these boxes work as they also have the paddles on the steering wheel? I also take it all the 2008 models will most likely have N54 then?

2008 should be an N54 (Twin Turbo), I think the N55 isn't technically a twin but it performs just as well if not better.

The auto has paddles too. The 135 in op's first post is the tii concept. Decked out in full bmw performance gear all oem.

Steptronic is a driver shift option on a fully automatic gearbox. On DCT, SMG etc. It's a manual gearbox mated to an automatic clutch. So you can drive it as a manual or an automatic.

Awesome cars.
The steptronic shifts can be made quicker with flashing the transmission with an Alpina B3 flash.
