BMW 1 Series E81/E82/E88 Right side window regulator

Hi All.

I hope that you are all well.

I'm based in Cape Town and my drivers side window regulator broke and I'm looking for a second hand one.

A new one at BMW is R3000.

Basically what happened was, one of the stoppers attached to the end of the cable fell off and the cable on the gear ended getting tangled up. :hammerhead:

I purchased new cables to replaced the damaged ones, however I am unable to secure the stoppers on them.

My first question is.

1. Any idea of places in CPT who would be able to assist welding new stoppers on?
2. Any idea where I could purchase a window regulator kit with the gear and cables? I've checked online and they only available in UK and US.
3. Anyone have a second hand right side window regulator for a E81/E82/E88 laying at home that they want to sell or know any spare's shops that might have one?
I've tried spares shops in Voortrekker road, CPT including Bruce Spares & Bruce Craig's.

All assistance will be greatly appreciated. I've uploaded a photo below.

I've had the issue with my passenger side window. (Not sure if it's the exact same one, but my window was stuck open).
The workshop where i service my car had it repaired, because the BMW stealership wanted about 2800 or so. I think their standard protocol is to simply replace the part.

Honestly, i get a little wind noise at high speeds (200+), and its never going to be the same as getting it replaced :thumbdo:

Got my one fixed by cable clinic in Parow. done an excellent job!

BMW wanted R3300 less 10%.
