BMS Backend Flash Help Please

Good day Fanatics,

Could someone please help me out with loading the BMS Pump Backend flash?

I live near Northgate but I am willing to drive out.

Alternatively could I please borrow someone's BT cable and I will attempt the flash myself?

You will first need to make sure you have all the required stuff in order to prevent any problems arising when doing the flash.

Oem file has to be forst read, roughly +-70 min... so a charger, and a solid one is required to make sure you battery doesn't dip in power.

BT cable is next, either your own or someone's else's....

Laptop woth bimmerboost application and drivers installed.

Thank you very much for the input, I have a CTEK battery charger (14.4V/3.6A), will this suffice?

As for the software on the laptop I will install that today, I should be getting my car back later this afternoon so I'm just doing all the prep today.

The only thing I still need to get hold of is the BT cable, I'm even prepared to buy a 1VIN cable if I can find one.

C tek make grand chargers, but 3.6 amps seems very low. I would recommend a 10 amp at least, and not crap one.

About the BT cable. I have 3 vin that definately has 1 vin avaialble, not sure about the second...if may be avaialble as well. Pm me and we can talk..

I don't think the BMS flash locks the vins Firi?

i use a bt cable that has had all avail vins used... it works perfect for flashing using the bimmerboost tool.

You right kish, you don't. ...but it's nice cable to have to diagnose with works quite fast from my experience.

I have another question, would I need to reload the BMS flash after adding more mods such as a charge pipe and meth?

That would make a big difference to if I bought a BT cable or just borrowed one.

Cool, so it would be better for me to get setup to do my own flashing. I will see what I can do about getting a BT cable.

Thanks to everyone who gave their help and advice on this matter. I succesfully managed to install the BMS pump backend flash tonight. Pretty excited to see the results. Thanks again to everyone! :clapper:

Unfortunately not good at all I put my car on the dyno today at Perfect Power Randburg and only made 201.3 wkw so even if there dyno is different to KAR the figures are way too low. So I'm quite disappointed but got some really good and helpful guys working on it with me so I'm sure things will come right. :=):

JB4 G5 ISO, BMS Pump Backend Flash, DP, DCI, Secondary Decat, Turbo Upgrade with bigger wheel. On 95 fuel.

Thanks hoosain, I did a few logs and sent them to Twinz, he has asked me to change a few things on the JB4 so I will do that tomorrow and sent them through again.
