Nice work your doing there. If you see cracking in the shock towers you should look at e46 M3 cab RSMs with Z3 reinforcement plates. Another option is Rouge Engineering RSM's. I just ordered a set so can comment more when they arrive.

the brace has the RSM reinforcement built in and does the job even better...

I remember reading a long time ago that a rear strut brace does not benefit the rear like it does the front due to the suspension set up.
Any truth to this?

this is true because the shocks and the springs are separate if you want the same effect you have to cut up the boot and tie them together with the subframe like they do when you fit a roll cage...

a brace will still be better at stopping rips than the plates because it transmits some forces into both towers instead of one taking it all :)

Would it just load additional force to the opposing tower?
I dont see how it can relieve force in this case.

I dont see how it can relieve force in this case.

two towers provide more metal for the forces to act on no :) there are no additional force (you still hitting the same bump in the road ect) so it just takes the same force and spreads it out more making it way less damaging...

the plates work in a similar way... they spread the force the bolts normally put on the shock tower over more area... the brace does this as well as send some of the force into the other tower so its more effective

If you have not already bought he braided lines, dont. They make bugger all difference. I think the stocks are already braided.

Braided lines will only make a difference around the track as it helps with fade (Don't expand from heat etc.).

Mine are most definately rubber, so maybe swapped out at some point if the standard are braided.

You sure they came out standard with braided?

Also better peddle feel etc.

Well so I have heard

And notice the oils spill in the background that I created.... Note to self.... don't get carried away with brake install when you are draining oil...
