Blue Smoke in traffic

So, first the background:
Took my 2005 120i into a BMW dealership for an oil leak about a month ago. Oil leak was fixed and I was told to bring it back after 1000kms for the oil consumption test. The test revealed that the car used 600ml in 1250kms. The tech then suspected warn value stem seals. Just to confirm, the car has never smoked!
The car went into the dealership on Monday and they called to say that the value stem seals need to be replaced (all on MP, so no worries there). I got the car back on Tuesday.

Now the problem:
However, the next day, in traffic only (i.e stop start, stop start), the exhaust started "bellowing" light blue smoke. The car was fine otherwise, power, etc and no smoke problems when back on the open road. The car went back to the dealership yesterday morning and they called in the afternoon to say they don't know what's wrong and they have opened a PUMA case...

Anyone else had a similar problem? Would appreciate any feedback on what to expect.

Post up what they did exactly. Maybe get a job card.

Service Invoice details:
Labour:Removing and installing all rocker arms; Replacing all valve springs; Cleaning engine and engine compartment;
Parts: Valve Seal R (1); Collar screw (2)

I'll update my post with feedback from the dealer (today hopefully)

So the dealer reckons one of the seals they installed was faulty… I reckon the installation was faulty, but anyway, they need to re-do the job. Hopefully they won’t stuff it up… again.

Thats ironic, I just changed the valve stem seals on Jezebel this week. Have been waiting three weeks for 1 valve stem seal from BMW.

Funny how they fix yours in one day but take almost a month to get me the part.
