Blue Monday

So this Monday, driving along the M1S in peak hour traffic, this idiot n his huge horse and trailer rear ended my car, causing me to bump the car ahead of me as well. Took it to my insurance approved panelbeaters and just been quoted 49k to repair. :argh::argh::argh:

Anyone know whats the value of this car i think it was insured for around 90k about 3 years ago.

70% of book is standard, so at 49k if book is anything under 63 or 64,\ she is a gonner.

But you can save her if they allow the use of second hand spares,

with 2nd hand spares as per the quote it comes out to 49k

just removed the panelbeaters names and contact details from the quote

The other thing is that i left the car idling after the accident and when i returned found the heat gauge in the red so i guess the radiator's bust but hope i didnt cause any engine damage

so far the radiator's out of the car and no signs of oil & water mixing ... Thank God !!!:praise:

Sorry dude... Especially sorry since it's a well kept E36 :argh:
Anyway, shop around with the panelbeaters, go for quality, hopefully she's back to new soon!

:( sorry to see this... might be worth buying back from insurance once written off for a project car...
