Well a happy end to story they had my car all week last week and was supposed to get back Wednesday but there was a slight oil leak so never got it , then a vibration detected so received car Monday changes beautifully no leaks etc job now complete.
And a side note although it took a while and at times I wanted to tear heads off not once did they not take responsibility. They took car in until we were both happy it was sorted and even extended warranty on box . So to be fair I would recommend them

So what was the issue in the end?

I want to avoid these problems by converting mine to a manual! Which I am 90% sure I am going to do. It will be cheaper in the end! High initial price but at least I won't need to worry about being stranded somewhere when it goes pop! I have had an E30 auto box break on me when I was pulling off from a steap incline, it was very embarrising to say the least!

Unfortunately a Diesel is awsome and best suited to an Auto! I will never understand why BMW would build such a crucial piece of machinary so weak!
