Its not the bolts that strip, its the threads in the block that strip, you can have the block heli-coiled and it will be stronger than new.

helli coils are safer and if any thing happens your block can still be used

Are you being serious?
You will put a bigger bolt into a block with stripped threads and expect it to last?
You come here and ask a question.
You are answered by one of the forum's experts as he does this every day 365 days a year probably since he was 18 years old and you answer with that nonsensical response?

If you know so much why even bother to ask the question in the first instance?

Some people..........words absolutely faill me.

Huh?? Using a bigger head bolt to try and cut new thread? Then what happens if you snap the bolt while trying to cut the thread? Or if you crack the block in the process?

That's retarded - a proper backyard mechanic method of fixing a relatively simple problem.

Helicoil it

Then it is the installer that let you down, not the product...

King a timesert is a great solution... the tooling is a bit expensive though probably better you get an installer to come out and do it for you unless you see yourself using it often...

A1exander did the helicoil's on my M3 Cylinder head after some backyard mechanic monkeys stripped the thread on it. He did an amazing job and fixed the problem in under an hour. The car is back together running great since.

So my advice is listen to what they are telling you. HELICOIL the head.

i can sort the block out for you if you bring it to me.
its better to do the complete block as they are prone to pulling the threads out when you torque the head down
