BIG Turbo on a 135i N55

Hi Fanatics,

Has anyone on the forum heard of or maybe done a BIG Turbo conversion on N55 135i with DCT?

Something like a Pure turbo upgrade? Or a seriously big aftermarket custom system? There was a thread on the N55 Pure turbo I believe somewhere..

try FRnR Tuning. They're known for big turbo BMW builds.

I was wondering out of interest if it is possible and if the DCT gearbox can handle the extra increase in power properly.

I do not intend on putting the car a track, maybe on drag strip here and there.

Dct should hold fine up too about 600whp and 700nm. Thankfully the big singles make a little less torque that upgraded twins. Anything past that you want to consider giving Dodson a call. I wouldn't push a n55 past 600whp without significant engine work.

Thanks for the advice, had a chat to Alistair from Exceed. Looks like the Pure turbo option is the best and simplest way.

Stock to jb and dp

after frnr did hybrid

with the meth I gained another 10hp and 30 nm
And also on that power my pwm maxes out so don't think there's anything left in the turbo .

Does FR&R use the Pure stage 1 turbo set up or something similar as the upgrade?

They do a local hybrid setup.it took 5 working days to finish.
