Best way of disposing oil

So what is the best way to get rid of old oil after doing an oil change? I love doing everything myself but just this challenge alone makes me want to take it to a service center.

just take the old oil to any workshop there are guys that come around and collect from them for recycling

Dont know if most filling stations do this but the Shell in Nokem Park used to accept old motor oil from customers if you took it to them in an bottle.

What the guys said above, also some autozones have collection points for used oil.
