The only N55s I have seen to put down decent power are the Big Turbo ones.. That is really the mod you should be throwing money into.. Massive Boost, but with that comes the obvious.. Internals, etc..

FBO will improve things for sure, but they not rocket ships..

Put on a nice exhaust and enjoy the sound from that engine, that is what the N55 is all about IMO! :thumbs:

With respect to this, Big turbos are hard to distinguish from some hybrid options available ito power, fuelling is a big factor.
The big turbo options for the N55 would be:
1. Custom Top/Bottom mount with custom exhaust manifold combined with a Precision Turbo 6266/6062/6264 or similar Borg Warner EFR
2. Pure turbos (manifold included)
3. Vargas Turbo (VTTO) with Garrett CHRA cores (manifold included)
4. Heavily modified stock turbo cores and housings done in house, seen a few in SA
5. TTE 460 hybrid
6. Tomioko Racing hybrid

IMO it's not worth it to order a special kit from America (Doc Race ) as those guys base their manifold designs on LHD cars, thus theres no consideration for RHD steering columns etc.
