Hey everyone,
My father in law wants to take his family (including me
) on an advanced driving course. As I'm the only car-nut in the family, he asked me to look at the options. I have done the BMW skidpan and anti-highjack course a couple of years ago, and to be honest, it was very disappointing. Didn't feel like I learned much. We basically did max 20 runs on the skidpan and that was it. It wasn't close to highway speeds and it was over before I felt confident that I had mastered the techniques.
So I'm looking for a course to do skid-pan and high-speed driving which doesn't cost an arm and a leg. I have narrowed down the options to:
http://adrenalindriving.co.za/advanced-driving/
and
http://www.vw.co.za/en/volkswagen_world/volkswagen_drivingacademy/performance_drivingcourses.html
Does anyone have any experience with these courses? I'm leaning towards the VW course. BMW's equivalent (Advanced High Performance) costs almost R1000 more than VW's.
