Four hurt in Bedfordview shooting

Johannesburg - Three men and a woman were shot and wounded in Bedfordview, east of Johannesburg, on Thursday, paramedics said.
“I can confirm that four people were injured, ranging from from serious to critical,” Netcare 911 spokeswoman Santi Steinmann said.
“The patients are all being treated at the scene and will transported to various hospitals.”
She said all had sustained gunshot wounds, and that police were on the scene investigating.
Steinman was unable to provide further details but pictures circulated on social networking site Twitter showed it happened at the Bedfordview Shopping Centre.
Provincial police spokeswoman Colonel Noxolo Kweza referred queries to Lt-Col Katlego Mogale who could not be reached for comment.

Johannesburg emergency services spokeswoman Nana Radebe referred queries to Ekurhuleni emergency services and metro police.
Ekurhuleni metro police spokesman Wilfred Kgasago could not be reached for comment.

we have to arm ourselves,the law is making it difficult for decent people to protect themselves and family while criminals are heavily armed even better than the police.Country going to Dogs but then Dogs will do a better job

That's 1km from my house... actually, it's on my bloody road. Drove past just now and there are cop cars, EMPD and EMR units everywhere...

I just went to the center for lunch...one entry & area is cordoned off, the rest is still fine and operational.
I didn't dare go in to look at the blood and stuff but what is shocking is that Bedfordview is now becoming a target it seems...
I work down the road from here and eat here very often...would have never expected this to happen here (excuse my naivety)

This is not the first time Bedford centre has had AK47 welding thugs running through guns blazing. I recall at least 2 other occasions where the Jewelry stores near Nu Metro got hit and people were killed or injured.
Bedfordview has had this reputation of being Mobsters and gangsters paradise.
