I think there is something funny going on with Zeemax's dyno, even the ST boys were saying that they were all down about 20kws.

Last time I dyno'd there, I made 125.5kw and 207nm, this time 117kw and 186nm

I also cannot understand how there can be so much difference between your first and second run, I only paid for a single run and should really have paid for 2, because guys where making much better numbers on run no2

Hello Everyone

Thanks for the great day. Was great meeting you all and chatting about BMW's, the occasional Golf GTI and how the ST Boys are wimps at the best of times.

It seems that everyone was down by about 20kw... That means Don probably pulled about 127kw (we should have ran the car twice) which would be 4kw up on last time... I need to email Uwe (Product Designer at Liqui Moly) and ask him to email me the tests they did and what sort of gains they got... Should be interesting... :thinker:

I have about 30 pictures here but I need to apologize...

1. I can only post them tomorrow morning as uploading 8mb of pics on my 3G card will cause it to commit suicide.

2. They are really crap.

:mmm:

I dont know what went wrong with my camera today.... It seems a technical malfunction is the cause but I think that in future I should take the UV Filter I have off when taking pictures inside... :censored: The pics came out rather grainy and many were underexposed... I did get a few but it meant that not everyones cars had pictures taken of...

Shane's car for extremely came out very well because of the white whereas the black/darker cars (Like yours Don :bawling:) didnt come out too well...

I have formatted my card and this seems to be the issue... Now the pics are crystal clear again... Ai... Nonetheless have a few pics. Sorry to those who dont have pics of their cars. Im sorry.

Besides that it was a really good day and now I want a M3... Love it!

Your car is awesome though Don. It feels nothing like my mom's did. I was telling Julian at Pyro Performance that I will pick out the smallest of issues with a car (Call me grumpy) and I can assure you... Somewhere with the facelift BMW changed something... I want a 320i now... Ooh or a 120i cos I loved the white 130i there with black rims etc.

Thanks again for the lift! I hope you emptied your center console of the notes inside when you got home :mmm:

the e92 m3 was pretty close to factory numbers at just over 300kw and 400nm.
So looking at those numbers, you'd say the dyno was OK.

Oh well..

Good indications though.
I can't believe it would be 20kw down.

Oddly enough tho... It seemed to be as I know what a few of the ST boys were running previously and they seem to be down by 15-20kw...

And yet some cars were close to standard spec... This is a bit disappointing for me.

Mace motorsport have tested my additives and have told me they work well (but wont give me graphs) so today I was hoping for an indication of how well they work...

I guess you could look at it this way... A standard 320i pushes about 108kw (Please correct me if I am wrong). Don was pushing 117kw... Thats still 10 odd kw up on standard... Assuming the dyno is correct and reading healthily then thats a decent improvement over stock figures...

Maybe I should ask Zeemax to run another car for me.... :thinker:

My aim was to cross the 300kw barrier (without touching the restrictive OEM cats) and appeard to be 8 - 10kw shy of the goal!
Will get official numbers tomorrow but if the dyno was restrained as high as 20kw then there is more hidden power to be unleashed on my current set-up...
I might have to change my username as well:excited: - pipe dream for now...
sorry that I missed the excitement of the day...next time

do you know what his final numbers were?

surely not the stock 309 / 400?

if only that pipe would stay on! could have tried number 9 to break the 300kw mark.
its defintely not out of reach.

The blue M3 was just shy of 300kw if I remember correctly...

So the software detuned it?
Unless it was switched off, which i doubt they do with a flash.

Freerider.. Useless without pics AND results

The blue M3 got 292kw.
White Stock E46 M3 (Shane's car??) got 219kw.
There was a silver E46 M3 with a few mods that got 240 something kw.
The red E30 320i (Party_Guy's car) also got 117kw.
The Ferrari 308 got I think 160kw.

That's all I can remember. pfft... I can remember dyno results but I can't remember names... :mmm:

Anyway... I have a few pics and vids. Will upload and post as soon as I can.

Was great meeting everyone and putting some faces with names. Thanks for the stickers Hellas and next time you should show up with the BMW. :)
