If you drive both of them back to back, you will understand that the diesel gives that knock you back in your seat torque for quite a bit through the rev range.

The petrol gives you that top end speed slightly faster.

For me, the Diesel wins every day.

Its fast, but extremely competent and nippy, and when i say nippy, i dont mean nippy like a Mini, I mean Nippy like a boeing 747 at full throttle.

I should not even comment on this thread as everybody knows how I feel about it.

I have a 535, I wish i did not, I wish I had the 535d, i WISH we got the 550d //M in this country.

Coming from an E60 530d tuned into a 535 slightly tuned you would be a moron not to go for the 535d....
