Hi Guys, I'm new to the forum. I'm having issues with my 335i (2010) e92 . It drove to the mall about a week ago and I sat in the car while my GF went to get some goods. The car had a sluggish start up when we left the previous mall and on this attempt did not start at all. I then had to get the car on a flat bed and transported home as it was a Sunday and could not get it to a shop. I then decided to take the battery in to a battery centre, got it checked and charged. They advised that the battery is fine and is holding charge. I reinstalled the battery, all interior lights lit up and when I push start, I just get a clicking sound. After about 3 clicks, i got a battery warning "battery charge very low". Any ideas what could be the issue? I'm not sure how old the battery is. Its a 658 Willard. Any assistance would be appreciated.

Hi, had a similar issue recently.
Replaced the original 12-year-old battery after getting a Christmas tree theme on the dash board.

Battery warning lights came back a week later.
Mech informed that the regulator in the alternator is worn (probably due to it maintaining a very old battery).

could be your starter if you hear clicking, if all lights dim and/or some goes off while trying to start, it will be your battery

Thanks for the reply, I had a similar Christmas tree issue with my 330i,turned out to be a ecu issue, had to replace the ecu. So just an update... My mech stripped the starter and tested it. It's dead as can be, so it's time for a new starter motor.

Thanks for the reply, yes, it sounded like the starter was clicking and a very sluggish short turn sound for less than 2 seconds, then just did nothing, getting the started replaced now. Will keep you guys posted.
