Battery Registration in CPT

Hey gents, trust you all are well!

I had to replace my battery on my E90 335i with no IBS - i got the same spec battery from the agents. Is there a need to still register the battery and if so where can I do so inCPT? The agents say it will need registering but they want to charge over 1k which is crazy.

Any assistance will be greatly appreciated.

Not sure about the E90, but when I replaced a battery on my E70 it was recommended from what I’ve researched at the time. Garage 808 did mine for about R250 about 3 or 4 years ago. They’re in northern suburbs.
