Battery Issue

Hi guys,

Just a quick question, I have an Activehybrid with 2 batteries. 1 big one at the bottom and a smaller one on top of the big one. The car recently displayed and error saying ‘battery discharged’.

On the I drive screen it said, radio and other electrics will be switched off. Take car on extended drive to charge battery.

The obvious question is, how do I know if is the smaller battery or the big battery that needs replacing?

The small battery is generally the one that is used for the Auto Start/Stop function,
so my guess will be yours is related to the Main battery.

Yeah. I spoke to BMW now. They reckon it’s the big one too. R 5K
