Hi Everyone,

For those of you who haven't visited my site yet (www.gshift.co.za), I'll encourage you to do so.  Also please subscribe for updates to the product ranges as well as new products which are launched.

I'll also be starting a separate thread for each product category here on the forum, for ease of reference and if there are any questions or general discussions.

To keep those expensive batteries in tip top shape, we are able to offer a range of battery chargers to suit most applications.  These include low voltage trickle / maintenance chargers through to comprehensive step-charging and reconditioning systems.

At this stage, the product range on offer is from National Luna, and CTEK chargers will be added to the range soon.

Contact us if you require further information on a battery charger solution to meet your specific needs.

Thanks

I'll find out for you Kish, but essentially have access to whatever they offer. Stuff not too popular will be special order though directly from the supplier.

Is the website working or is it just me?

Thanks...

Sorry don't know what happened, but my hyperlink had BMWFanatics prefixed to it. I've corrected the link in the original post.

Thanks for the feedback guys, I'm with you on disclosing pricing. I've just been waiting for the supplier to confirm latest pricing and I'm trying to secure that it stays the same for at least a month at a time. Once I know this I will publish prices accordingly.

In terms of the CTEK MXS 5.0 and the National Luna 5A, based on the spec sheets, they are direct competitors. They both offer intelligent charging characteristics, and an 8-step charging / reconditioning program. They can handle both regular and AGM batteries, and also smaller batteries such as those found in motorbikes etc.

My personal experience: I've used CTEK years ago and had no issues, I think it's also been on the market for longer. That being said, the National Luna chargers are also good. My supplier sells about 10/month over the past few months and has not had any issues or comebacks. He also uses their products for his shop.

I can't really comment on which of these is better, but what I can say is that these intelligent battery chargers are a step above the other products found on the market, where it just has a single charging function only.

Is the ctek5 and national Luna 5A equivalent? Which one is better?

Can't speak for Luna, but most BMW branded chargers are made by CTEK so assume it is going to be decent.
