Hi guys, just changed my battery on car.
But the battery warning light still appears.
How do I removed the warning light or reset it?

You need to register the new battery for it to go away.

I also replaced mine the past weekend, actually yesterday thinking about it now. But in my case I had the software and cable to register the battery.

You also now that if the alternator goes that same light goes and stays on, so I would advice you to check in at a person with the diagnostic software to try and register the new battery and if light is still on to do diagnostics on your alternator to see if it is still ok.

Hope this helps:rollsmile:

Yea, needs to be registered to the car, especially if it's a different type e.g. AGM or the new battery is rated at a higher Ah.

BMW will charge R500 just for the battery, nevermind is something else is wrong too. Maybe try pinging Gert from OBDWorx on the forum and see if he's able to help - I'd say he's the go-to for BMW electronics :)

Don't drive with it for longer than 3 days, you might damage the new battery or something worse.

Google E90 battery light on after battery change.

Don't drive it for too long like that please

Pinelands by day, Southern suburbs (Meadowridge) by night

M1 Auto in Kenilworth can definitely do it, and I think it was R250. Drop them and email and pull through in the morning - will take about 10min.
