Barn Find BMW 2002Ti

Thanks for the words of encouragement guys !
I am really interested to find out any history on this car if anyone can assist.
The chassis no. 1692292, anyone here know where to find archives for these, i have seen plenty of decoders for the American tii model but all their chassis no.s begin no. 2.
There were only very few of the 2002ti made rhd., so makes it more intriguing to find this cars origin.

Definitely going to be following this thread. So often cars like this will turn out to have incredible stories! Also very much looking forward to the final product, such a gorgeous piece of design.

Coming from Alfa's these cars have the same sort of gorgeous shape as the 1600/2000GT shape cars. Hope you can rebuild this car into what it really is!
