Back Triangle Window Smashed

Hey guys,

I was at a mates place having a drink for his birthday and we were all chilling outside when an alarm went off, nobody really freaked but when I figured I'm just going to try unlock/lock the car with my key the alarm went away, so we all head outside to find the back-right-baby-window was broken, a shit ton of glass on the seat (way more than I thought there would be) and absolutely nothing missing, and thank god for that, cause one of my friends had just recently bought a gas-gun and goodies for it worth R3k but it was all still there...

So... anyone know of a good place to have it replaced?

They can open the car by breaking that window out, happened to me years ago. They got my 1week old car radio in the process. :argh:

I just checked my 1996 328i does dead lock, if a window is open and the remote button is pushed the door cannot be opened from the inside . Putting the key in the door and turning and holding it there makes the windows close .

Thieves get past it...I won't say how on a public forum.:nonono:

If there is anyway to prevent it you could PM me the details? :fencelook:

Worse news is to come, if that window has alarm sensors attached, it is a dealer only item and will cost anything between 2k and 3k.

Does the e36 not dead lock the doors when the alarm is activated ?

New window installed and ready to go, gotta thank my dad or hooking me up with it. He knows on my budget it would have stayed broken for a couple weeks...

Apparently it was R710 fitted at Glasfit in Montague Gardens - If anyone was wondering.
