Hi Guys. After I let go of my F80 M3 in late 2017, for various reasons, I always knew I had to get back into one of these awesome machines. I’ve been patient and managed to get my hands on a 2016 F82 M4 with only 5000km on the clock. A rare find indeed. The delivery experience at Zambesi Auto is something like no other, being the only M showroom in SA.

Specs:
YMB (pictures don’t do the color justice)
M DCT
Carbon interior trim
Full leather (really picks up the car a notch and makes it feel super premium)
Harmon Kardon surround sound
Surround view

My previous M experience has made me appreciate this one a bit more. I do miss those bulging flared rear arches, but the sleek stance of the coupe makes up for it.

Thanks bro. It does feel a bit more compact and no rattles or squeaks compared to the M3. It takes some getting used to with the wider door and getting in and out is a bit ungainly. Always have to park with this in consideration. That being said I enjoy the drive better. The rear doesn’t fish tail as much when having a bit of fun. With 2 less doors can feel the lighter weight in the handling characteristics. However since both vehicles are meant to be identical there’s very little to point out other than coupe vs sedan.

My comparison to the M3 might be a bit tainted. I’m not sure if the M3 was a lemon as couldn’t sort out the rear wheel squeaking noises and after a drivetrain malfunction (misfiring cylinders) I lost confidence in the right foot.

Beautiful car, wow 5000kms.. Unheard of, assume it was parked off. Have fun

Thanks. Yes precisely. With the F8xx production coming to an end there’s value to be had in the used market when compared to price of new cars at the entry level. I’m never ever buying a new car. The previous owner probably ate depreciation of half a bar.
