Been a while since I updated this thread. Not much was done to the car as I have been travelling for pretty much the whole of April and when I have had a chance just trying to enjoy the car as much as I can on weekends.
Anyways moving along swiftly, she went in for her annual check up @ BMW at the beginning of May. The rear brake pads are due next but BMW wont do it now even though i can feel it on hard breaking that they not as good as they should be.
So when I got the car, it had PPF, but only the front bumper, half the bonnet and the mirror caps were done. Weirdly, only one door cup as well, which I only found out now. 🤦‍♂️
The half bonnet PPF was really bugging me not to mention the quality of the workmanship but was was suppose to be a reputable company. They could not even cut around the PDC sensors in a circle, I'm sure 5/6 yr olds learning how to use scissors can do a better job.
I also wanted to get the car detailed as the swirls were quite noticable and on a black car, you see EVERYTHING! I had been shopping around for quotes and saw a recommendation on the forum for Immaculate Detailing in CPT and made contact. After a quick visit, inspection of the car and a chat around options, we decided on a paint correct, ceramic coating, deep cleaning and detailing of the wheels and a coating and the removal of the badly applied PPF. At this stage I was unsure about getting new PPF installed, but as the car was only booked for the middle of May, and I started this process back in March, I had plenty time to consider it and eventually decided to do the PPF as well, but this time the full front including the fenders and some rear bits as well.
All I can say is that the workmanship and quality was top notch and I think the pictures speak for themselves, so let the pictures do the rest of the talking....
PS. I also took the chance to have the spacers installed. Think the wheels look a bit more aggressive now and not so tucked in anymore....
Thanks for looking...
