Hi there plse I need help.I have just replaced the big ends/mains rings oil pump on a 316 8 valve.I have no oil pressure.The oil just stays in the sump.

2 reasons

1 you changed oil pump and did not prime it
2 your clearances are wrong

There could be a 3rd reason in that you did not connect the drive chain to the oil pump but I guess that is unlikely
