I have had trouble with my Aux fan for a while now on my 97' 318is.
The fan comes on on high speed when the engine heats up but thats it. It never runs on low speed. Not with the aircon, not when the car gets hot...never. It only goes to high speed when the car gets hot.
I have bought new relays and checked the fuses.
When I unplug the dual temp switch and bridge the pins as described in other posts the fan runs on high speed but stil no low speed.
However, when I bridge the pins in the fuse box where the relays should plug in it runs on low speed and high speed.
Should I replace the dual temp switch ?
Or should the fan still run on low speed with the aircon on even if the temp switch is faulty ?
Any help would be great as I have no idea where to from here.
