Auto box slipping

To all the autobox guru's:

Guy claims the autobox on a e36 325i slips when the engine/ gearbox warms up.

Will an oil service cure something like this, or not?

Often it will cure it. Usually the EP additives in the oil breakdown after continous use and in a gearbox (especially a auto) these EP additives are what make the gearbox function.

Mine started to do that just before the torque converter gave up. It also 'popped' out of gear once or twice.

IS it the 4speed auto box? Usually its the 2 filters & ATF oil that needs replacing.
I had a 1995 525i Auto with the exact same problem, Changed the ATF & bottom filter. Car did exactlly the same thing after I changed all. Sold the car after that, Guy who bought her from me changed both filters. And presto! He is still driving her every day, with no problems what so ever. G&#D damet!
