I'm in Melbourne Australia and I've just very happily taken possession of a 1982 South African built E12 518i. I'm very excited to faithfully restore the car to the condition it was in when delivered at Boksburg BMW in the early eighties. So far I have had no joy in finding any technical information about these E12 body/E28 mechanical cars. does anyone know where I can get some books, manuals, brochures etc. etc. for this great little car. It seems impossible to find any E12 reference here in Australia, let alone on this special South African model. Hopefully I'll here from some of you soon with good news, and I look forward to sharing the journey of my resto with you all.
