Hi guys

Trust you are all well, I'm currently busy bringing back an e12 from the grave, this vehicle originally was an e12/8 535i, the story behind it and how this car ended up with me is that one of my friends bought it and thought he would restore it, his plans changed and he sold the vehicle to another friend who had already bought my first e12(white 518i), as the guy who had bought my vehicle drove it for a year he felt that he needed more power out of it so he bought the donor 535, he did himself a huge favor as those who know about this swap will know that it's impossible to swap a 535i into a 518 without the front subframe everything else is a bonus (brakes, suspension, power steering, etc.) Nevertheless all the parts required were transfered from the one vehicle to the other which meant it was scrapping time for the 535i, at which point this is where I get involved, I bought this vehicle instead of sending it to be tomorrow's coke can. Some might think I'm crazy but the ones who know me know that we bringing this beast back to life, will it be a 535 again, who knows, maybe but for now, the progress can be seen in the pics. I will post more as I go along. E12/8 5?? With blue cloth interior and sunroof, currently automatic. Enjoy guys. The journey starts here.

Brings back memories of a ruby red 528i E12 i had in the eighties. Was immaculate. I put on some second hand wide/r rims which gave it a nice stance. I remember the day i sold it. I wound it up to close to the red line in second gear and realized i had never even taken it to its red line in all the time i had it. It was a very nice car but then i had always craved after a 535i, that being the ultimate BMW (for me) at the time. Sold it because i was in the process of getting the 535i. Bought it as a one owner car from a guy that really looked after the car.

E12s leave that print on their owners @ Solo man, keep watching this space guys as I will be updating it as I make progress with the restoration. I must warn thou that I'm in this one for the long run and it might take some time before we can see some format of that ultimate e12.

Would love to see where this goes.
Friends dad had a 528i Auto. Dad gave it to him when he was 15 and we’d use the car to go to school and back etc.
Eventually boys being boys we tried spinning it. “Neutral drop”.
Broke the gearbox, car stood in the yard for about 18 years.
Was just recently sold for 15k. Think car is in Cape Town now.

Oops forgot to mention my Dakar yellow e36 m3. And then of course the project for 2022, the red oxide bmw e12 which is shown earlier in the post.
