11 Feb is the George Old Car Show which is probably the biggest in the country at this stage. I'm trying to round up as many BMW's as possible as I am tired of the massive Merc display and only 1 or two BMW's.

After a 10 year nut and bolt restoration, I will be taking my '74tii Alpina A4 replica as per my avatar. It will be it's first outing, so looking forward to it. So far, the following are also confirmed:

'71 2000 Touring (2002 Hatchback)
E30 333i
'71 2002tii
'70 E9 2800cs
E28 M5 (Maybe)
E30 325is (possibly 3 of them)

Sith, your 530mle will be a great attraction:idea: and we are working on getting a genuine M1 from CT.

Guys, please if you know of any cars from CT to PE and anywhere inbetween, please encourage them to contact me and come. I have been in touch with Lyn Schroeder BMW and Bavarian Select in George who are going to support us in this event.

Let's get the Classic BMW back on the map!

Some real classics and legends to be seen by the looks of it. All the best with the rounding up of troops!

I suppose it depends on the car. Anything pre 1980 is a tick, but there are carss of interest after that that will be eye candy. Think E12, E24, E28, E30 (is, 333, M3), 850i, Z1, all M's. The theme this year is converatbles, so any drop tops.

If your car is interesting and in good nick, it will be welcome.

@Netercol - I come up for Zwartkops every year and it is big, I agree. I am only quoting what I have read in some publications. Visit www.scocc.co.za for more info.

If the e36 is ready ill drive it up. It just wants some money thrown at it now.
Otherwise hopefully the E Type will be good to go.

This is really random for you.

I have a very good friend with a classic Mini Sedan (The rare one) which is extremely well looked after and he would love to take it to the show (once I have detailed it).

I believe it is invitation only... Would you guys say no to having his car on display as he is an absolute Mini fanatic and would be so happy to be there.

Or perhaps know of who I can speak to in the Mini world to make this happen?

Thanks!

Mike

Hi Mike

It isn't by invitation only. He is welcome to bring the car and there is normally quite a few Mini's there, so he may be better off parking with all the Mini's.
