While many may find this a very odd thread, I felt it necessary to give it a go, being a Muslim myself. I will explain why and then make a humble request to all our Muslim Members.
As most of us know, the 21 June is BMWFanatics charity Day of which the details can be found here, http://www.bmwfanatics.co.za/showthread.php?tid=66385.
This just happens to coincide with the Muslim Holy Month of Ramadaan. Despite being a month in which we make sacrifices, one being keeping fast from before sunrise to sunset (No intake of meals or even water), it’s also a very blessed month in which our Teachings urge us to be much more generous and out charity in abundance to those in need. This Charity is besides our Duty of zakaat (Obligatory Percentage of one’s wealth which must be given to the destitute). It is absolutely central to the Muslim identity to feel care and compassion for ones fellow human being and other creations of the Creator.
Keeping to the teaching of Islam, I hereby make a humble appeal to all those Muslim members who can afford to spare some time or finances towards this Charity day and more so towards giving towards the orphans. For those wanting to contribute towards this event that are from other provinces, Please add your name to the list and kindly send me a PM and we can arrange the details of the contribution.
