Never been ashamed. Took 4 taxi's a day for 3 years of my life. Then bought a golf it was a symbol of hard work. Loved that car but alas you move on to bigger and better.

to be honest, assuming its payed for an not on installements, i get a kick out of driving an old car thats payed for that costs me next to f0kol to run....

just one way to one up "the system".

the modern day financial system and banks are all setup to brainwash us that its ok to accept cars and houses and pay stupid interest off over many years... just some modern "enslavement".

i say screw that, many of us are enthusiasts and know how to make a reliable car out of an old bmw. I say go for it. and aslong as she is clean neat, not tatty and not full of stupid boy racer stickers... its all good.

if anyone has an opinion of yor old car, tell then to go get stuff and buy themselves a golf 6,7gti... everyone has those....most get screwed monthly for one of those...
