Took a drive out on Sunday morning, check on my IG for a quick reel on that.
Some pics taken, trying to capture the color of the wheel.

I changed the front tyre profile from 30 to 35, need to adjust the coils slightly for the front to go lower on air out.

Ride height:

Peachy:

Air out:

Wow!! Im slacking... LOL

Not much really done to the car. New battery, oil change, multiple car washes but not many km sadly!

I've actually advertised the car cos i hardly drive it. If anyone in UAE is interested, message me!

Some pics at a recent car wash and a random photoshoot with a 5.0 Roush.

Partially my fault - The Golf is just easier to get around with. Im just so careful with the M3, parking lot dings etc.
Partially not my fault - Its just sooo hott here, and for some reason when the outside temp is above 40, the AC just doesnt perform in the M3. Regassed, serviced etc... Not sure! Fuel, yes... Im going to complain about it, its just gone way to high to daily the car. Hence, Golf just gets the go...

Weather is cooling down here so i will drive it a bit more. But, still for sale in the mean time. May have some other plans and if the M3 is gone, then it will just make my plans easier to materialize.

Just under 4 aed per litre. When i moved here 6 years ago it was 1.20aed a litre.
wow if i work it using 60 litres, that's not that cheap anymore.

Are cars really that much cheaper there? i was looking at second hand cars from UAE websites , especially Bmw's and the prices seem to be pretty much on par with South africa. im talking about for example a 2011 530 or a 2009 335i.

Exactly, it adds up.. Honestly, for the last 3-4 years while the fuel price was low, i never budgeted for fuel. Just drove and filled up. Now, we basically budget towards fuel again. Having 3 cars isnt a help either, 2 of which are not frugal!

Car prices have increased, but i guess this is worldwide. You can pick up some good lucks, but again compared to pre-covid, the prices are significantly higher. My ex-X3, i would have sold it now for atleast 20% more. No jokes, even with more KM.

An e92 335i now, with over 200k km will sell for about 25-30k aed. About R100k to R120k.

Thats very interesting. So its not just here in ZA.
Prices of Cars here, especially second hand Diesel Bmw's have gone up by like 30%.

I guess doesn't help that are almsot no diesel cars in UAE, to help with consumption.
Glad you got the opportunity to own an M Car though.

In preparation to advertise, i had the car sent to Octane in Dubai for a full check. Checked out all good, changed the front tyres to a better size for air out, had to compromise a little on the ride quality with a 30 profile tyre but Tazo had a look and made some adjustments to the BC Coilovers and overall height. Must say, the car drive even better than the 35 profile tyres. Trust me, the difference is noticeable especially with the rocks they call cateyes here.

Some pics:
Back from Octane on a recovery, i was lazy to drive the 100km to collect it.

Before Tazo adjusted... Can already see how much lower it sits by the lip just with a 30 profile tyre compared to 35.

After Tazos adjustments... She sits level and perfect!

I have been driving the M3 a bit more, considering the weather is really cooling down. The more i drive, the more i dont want to sell it, hence i have advertised it at a high price, 135k aed as is (R660k). Effort is to either find the right buyer, or i keep unless a solid offer comes in. I have all the stock parts, so if i do get a buyer who does not want the wheels, air and other custom bits but is willing to pay close to my asking price, i can remove some parts to cover up the amount i want.

Anyways, while we wait for a buyer or not, i cannot just let the car sit so a few parts are ready to be fitted and some are on the way too. Stay tuned for that in the near future!

A few weeks ago, i heard of this new filling station that opened in the Expo 2020 site and with the site now open to public, myself and Tazo decided to fill up and take a drive. A good 1 hour from home, but its no issue - we met at around 11pm and headed to the ENOC Station of the Future to meet with Yazeed - All impromtu, we literally messaged each other at about 10pm and at 11pm we were on route! Of course, with Yazeed there, some pics were taken and those are for a future album - keep an eye on IG too for the reel soon!

Quick phone pics to lubricate... your appetite!

The main man, Yazeed in action! These pics came out too good!

I must say, it was a really good decision to randomly show up at this filling station that night - i got the "Select" or "Quarry Road" (IYKYK) vibe and what was even more welcoming - when Tazo and I parked up first, we parked at the back of the garage, you can see the first 2 pics. A couple of local chaps came over and were oogling at our cars, they asked if we would mind them taking some pics/vids and ofcourse we said go ahead. A few minutes later, the entire forecourt was cleared out and we were asked to park front and centre. Some cool content was shared on IG.

Drive back was with big smiles on both our faces!

I have really been enjoying the M3, forcefully as the MK3 is out of action - More on that in its thread!

M3 has been out to the Flat 12 Grand Picnic, in my opinion thee best event for the car community in UAE!

Yazeed took some pics!

Also, i have entered into Offset.dxb which is in March, keen to have the M3 and possibly the MK3 at a clean car 'stance' event.

A few things to get done before that on the M3.
- PDC on the front bumper is loose, needs to be fitted properly.
- One of the air ducts in the grille has come loose as is kind of hanging loose.
- Pinnacle Motorsport undertray to be fitted
- Front bumper, lower grille is loosing its color, needs a coat of satin black.
- Oil change

Will get these items done in the next week or two, then a clean up and light paint prep for Offset.dxb.

I managed to find myself a set of AG M359 wheels, these will go on after Offset.dxb.
