Good Day Fanatics,
I cannot understand whats the point of sending a BMW to an Approved BMW Repair center - As based on comments the vehicle value is depreciated anyway.
This weekend I accompanied a friend to BMW for a evaluation and Trade-in inquiry on a 2014 F30 320d Msport...
The consultant disclosed the vehicle was estimated at R273k trade value and Resale R 315k
BMW best Trade in was R225k based on the comments on the vehicle
Repairs done were as follows:
1. Mag Rim Repair
2. Side sill was replaced and front bumper painted due to stone chips
The vehicle wasn't in any accidents, has 85k on the clock with a remaining year left on motor plan and is in pristine condition.
BMW could not offer more due to comments even thou we gave them the itemized repair center invoice.
Whats the point of giving your vehicle to a Approved BMW repair center that's going to add comments and devalue the car?
One might as well give it to another reputable panel shop probably be cheaper on your insurance and you don't get comments on the vehicle.
Further more Inquiry on extended MP
We were offered the following:
With 15k left on current motor plan we can extend it now for another 20k/kms at the cost of R8k which I though was reasonable until they explained it will expire at 105k/kms.
I couldn't understand this , they explained if taken now it comes into immediate effect and counts from current mileage for next 20k, however if taken closer to the 100k/kms mark it will cost around R20k to add on..
This is a rip off as you end up paying twice for the 15k you already covered for or in essence you actually paying R8k for the extra 5k/kms if taken now at current mileage.
Its seems BMW wants to just rip people off once they purchase a BMW even if they want to continue with the brand.
