Anyone know this M5?

Hey guys,

I drove past a dealership yesterday and saw this M5 standing there. Decided to have a better look at it today.

Apparently it was built by Rob from RGM. Sales man explained to me that Rob only built 2 of these and that the other one has already been written off.....

Km's are very low at 83000km and the interior is MINT! No dead pixels on dash and no dead pixels on the factory sat nav unit. I just don't know if it has the factory shifter....

Don't get me started on the mechanics....:dunnoanymore::blueCry:

In my opinion, it's probably a good start to restoring a classic and it comes with very nice extras. It will need a lot of work though and it's not even close to the condition of their asking price of R299K.....:biglol:

It's not a code 3, It's a 2000 model, 2 owners, with Delta Autoland Silverton being the owner from 2005. Last km reading was 75k in 2015.

Yep it has been there for years and years. Last time i looked the tyres were cracked all over nice to see it's been fixed.

They also had a M6 with a buggered motor for sale and some other oddities like a MG V8 RWD thing based off the Rover 75 and a couple of benzes with astronomical millage.

I am deeply besotted with the gearshift knob since it is a very hard item to find with that trim. Most are full leather or wood, but it's OEM.

Lovely car, but i think he wants 300k for it. That might be a bit rich for a RGM hackjob.

Nice car but its a steep price considering its no longer in original condition, Also for that price they should atleast clean the engine bay

The car does not appear well cared for, even at a glance.

With the modifications done, one would like to believe the owner should take extra care of it, so as this does not appear to be the case, one should stay far away from this thing.

PS' in principle I don't have issue with modifications like these, I do however have interest in how the car was used and cared for after the fact.

I don't think it is the case per se.

It has been standing by the same dealer for nearly 10 years. So it's just a case of a car standing on a forecourt, not neglected.

I looked at this car about 6 yrs ago and to be honest it was in poor shape. Paint was in desperate need of a very expensive detail - scratches, fading etc. To me it looked well worn and tired.
