Anyone have experience with using RaceChip Pro?

Hey guys,

I'm toying with the idea of fitting the RaceChip Pro to my 2008 R56
Cooper S.

Does anyone have experience/advice using RaceChip Pro? Anyone
currently using it? I'm wanting to know if it poses any problems
for the engine and turbo? Or is it be fine as long as I'm not using
settings that push the boost out of tolerance ranges.

I've got the JCW Tuning Kit fitted so am not wanting to push
the performance up too much, just tweak it a bit.

There's no tuning option for the factory JCW as far as I know. The kit I have is the JCW airbox and air intake and an upgraded exhaust, which includes a new exhaust manifold. There was no ecu flash or mapping needed.

Did you dyno it to see what you gained?

Let me know what you find. Did they make a specific tune for the Jcw?

Their site doesnt give a direct link to it but this is what shows up for your car:

Chiptuning Mini II (R56-58) John Cooper Works, 1598ccm, 155kW (211PS)
State series RaceChip TB RaceChip TB Pro
Tuning Difference Tuning Difference
Performance 155kW 188kW +21% 198kW +28%
Performance 211PS 256PS +21% 269PS +28%
Torque 260Nm 307Nm +18% 328Nm +26%

Try it and let the Mini Fanatics know how it goes :fencelook:

No, I haven't dyno it but there was a significant increase in both torgue and power. Stock it was 128kw with 240nm. Quoted figures for the tuning kit are 141kw with 260nm.
