I have the whole front end of my car done. It's saved me a HUGE chip about 3-4 times already. It lifted once by my mirror but I just took it back to bm and they re did the mirror.

Now if only they could do the windscreen :nonono:

7200km and I need a new windscreen thanks to some clown that road rashed me hard when taking off infront

If I'm not mistaken, there is a company advertising such a windscreen product in the back of CAR Magazine, cannot remember the details.

Thread revival.

anybody know where I can get this done?

On the matter of the plastdip, I wouldnt recommend clearcoating the front of your car with it.

I have on a previous BM plastidipped therims and front grill myself, so I know what I am talking about.

Plastidip does self level and I had a few stone chips on the rims that scraped through a layer of the dip.

On the front of a car, its going to look shit after a short period of time. Additionally, I am not quite sure how it fares with bug splatter (although some guys dip their entire cars dipyourcar.com).

I would think that a plastic composite film would be easier to apply and be more resilient than the plastidip.

I will however point out that plastidip is super-awesome.
In the more-than-a-year that I had the car rims plastidipped, apart from the odd stone scratch, the rims were immaculate.

Just before I traded it in, the salesguy said "oh, we going to lose about 8k on your car cause we have to respray the rims".

triumphantly, I said nope!
Its plastidipped (like a baaus), and knelt down and peeled a bit off the rim. the guy was speechless.

and that tells the story of plastidip. If you decide to plastidip yours in clear at the front, please take some pics and let us know about it here on the forum, I would love to know how it fares.

Thanks.

I am in fact an authorized VPS agent.

With regards to the yellowing of the film, we have a treatment kit for that as well, and can actually "de-yellow" film already damaged, within reason of course.

I have a couple of cars that I can show you.
