angel eyes problem

Hi

Have and issue with the the left had side of my angel eyes that are aftermarkent ones that clip on now the bloody black control box that powers the rings had melted and now is F%^$%^%ed does one know were i can find a replacement unit

This kind of thing seems to be a pretty comment problem on the CCFL rings.
Your could contact the supplier for a replacement, but your best bet would be to not use the CCFL angel eyes and rather get the LED one, much brighter and more reliable.

dont cover those boxes it needs ventilation, tends to heat up n melt when its covered.

They are the illuminated rings in the headlights ,you find in the later model BMW's which are either park lights or daytime running lights. There are aftermarket kits available for the older models.

Firstly where did you mount your balast? They shoud be mounted above the light under the suport beam. Secondly they do blow. Where to find them is very very easy. You know the CCFL lights you get for the PC's take there ballast(buy the dual lights). they also last longer just seal all the holes with sillicone. I have allot spare I bought set's of these lights for R60 for myself. So search the computer shops in Joburg Im sure you will find plenty.

So if your CCFL's are blown dont throw them away!!! LED angel eyes are better but I cant find any In south Africa and they to expensive at the moment

They are not really that expensive and yes you don't get them in SA
