Hi guys
The alternator on my s50b32 z3 M Coupe packed up. I know I need to replace the voltage regulator but this part is also damaged and it seems you cannot buy it separately according to Realoem, I also have no idea what it's called:
This is how my alternator looks now:
And the voltage regulator:

My questions are:
1. Can my Valeo alternator still be rebuilt, if I can find the part in the first picture from another Valeo alternator and then buy a new voltage regulator from BMW?
2. Do I just buy a brand new alternator from BMW

(This will be my last resort, funds are a bit low)
3. I've already called Diesel-Electric and they don't have a Bosch equivalent for the Valeo one in my car, so is there another BMW whose alternator I can use which is at least 115A and won't have alignment issues?
