2000 540i water cooled alternator wanted urgently,who can help?

well, for R15,000 you can get one from the BMW factory... I decided that wasn't gonna work..
can't find any in scrapyards anywhere.. but check ebay, I ordered one from there for 2.8K including shipping..

Why cant you take it to be reconditioned?

2800+- re-conditioned from states..
over here I couldn't find anyone that had parts to recon mine.. although, mine couldn't be reconned anyways, cause it practically blew up.

bruce ! gizmo is right tho, check around PTA if you can find someone that can re-con yours...
laternatively.. 2.8K from ebay, 6-10days delivery ..

5K from ebay for a new one.. if you can find more.. there was one or two more lurking around ...

Thanks guys the agents are R8000.00 for a new one and i tried having it redone but they wont do it there has been many come backs.

No agent will send a part away, they replace, never repair...

lol, R8000 is for the air cooled alternator..
15K for the watercooled one. check with your guy again .. and TELL him its the watercooled one.. because they also told me 8K and then we found out 8K for the air cooled version..
