To me, this comparison would make more sense if the GT3 touring was based on a Carrera GTS and not an actual GT3. They didn't soften up an M4. They took an M340i (the softer, less race car option...) and added 100% to the price for bolt-on levels of performance gains (while making it look subjectively worse). Now we are debating about exclusivity, whether it is a softer M3 (rather than a tarted up M340i) and what the actual market is.

This thing is clearly stupid. Some "collector" will pay the enourmous premium and when they turn to flip it in 5yrs with 85km on the clock they'll discover that nobody really cares.
A GT3 Touring is identical to a GT3, as stated above this doesn't have an M engine and then just softened up suspension to make it more road pliable. This is just an M340i +++ with a huge price bump.
You'd need to have substantially more money than sense to buy this (and I don't think it looks that bad personally).
